This ministry was built on with a love language of 2 aspects: the Word of God and (Words of affirmation) Gary Chapman has a great book on the 5 love languages that will change your relationships for the better.
This world is hurting, Many of God’s people are tired, hurting or just need SOMETHING to keep them going. God made encouragement for this. Understand, Encouragement is a one way street. People don’t do it to be encouraged themselves. They do it because they have been encouraged overflowing. The only response is to look for someone else to encourage.
This is why encouragement is rare, this is why you’ll find more people that will pray for you than people that will praise with you. Encouragement is one of the only actions to another person where it isn’t confused for a personal agenda.
Its my prayer that as we encourage you that you dive in the word of God more. This is where the ultimate encourager lifts you up. icon smile Encouragement is a one way street
To the people who are called to be “His great encouragers” the road is like a pastors. It’s hard. The encouragement you receive from the people you encourage is rare but, when it does happen it helps keep you going. You must have a basis of community around you to pray with you, praise with you.
I think everyone is called to encourage. Some may find they have a gift in it.
Bottom line is: Stand up, encourage someone today apart from your own personal agenda if you have one. Tell the person how they really affect the world around them in a positive way. If your not encouraged Check out our twitter and be encouraged! Then go and of course! ENCOURAGE!
Therefore encourage one another and build each other up, just as in fact you are doing. 1 Thessalonians 5:11 NIV
And we urge you, brothers, admonish the idle, encourage the fainthearted, help the weak, be patient with them all. 1 Thessalonians 5:14
Above all, keep loving one another earnestly, since love covers a multitude of sins. Show hospitality to one another without grumbling. As each has received a gift, use it to serve one another, as good stewards of God’s varied grace: 1 Peter 4:8-10
