I have a friend, that shared with me their heart. They told me that they have a heart of one who has been abused but has never been. “What does this mean?” I asked God.

God gave me an answer. We can only forgive ourselves when God has forgiven us. God has forgiven them, but they have yet to forgive themselves. There is blame inside of their heart that they have taken the punishment for. There is something/many things they have started agreeing with that Satan whispered in the ear of their heart. God seeks to break that agreement, renounce it so those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint. Isaiah 40:31

We can be our worst enemy. We really are… Our… Worst… Enemy. We have a sinful nature that works against us and Satan who works with our sinful nature works to push us to destruction. I do not understand what I do. For what I want to do I do not do, but what I hate I do. Romans 7:15

There are many times in my life, where I’ve left things unresolved. “Pushed them under the rug.” Those things become footholds for Satan. Look at your life as a big wall… Smooth, beautiful, without a ladder this wall cannot be climbed. You and God are the only ones with the ladder. When we leave things unforgiven in our own lives, unresolved they will cause more damage unless we seek to ask God to fix them. When we fail to resolve; Think of it as us climbing on our ladder with a hammer claw side foreword making holes in our wall. (Hince footholds) and do not give the devil a foothold. Ephesians 4:27 When we go to God however, renounce the agreements and trade them for his truth, he rebuilds the wall patches it like broken drywall. Create in me a pure heart, O God, and renew a steadfast spirit within me. Psalm 51:10 We MUST choose to believe in the truth and not the lies.

The voices inside your head are not always your own. Do you understand what i’m saying? We always seem to think that the whispers inside our own spirit’s are our own but some are and some are not. Why do you think Paul says, We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ. 2nd Corinthians 10:5. This personally tells me that at our first thought our first reaction, Isn’t always God obedient. When facing temptation, we don’t always fight against it, but many times help it grow. Friends if you keep feeding discouragement It will grow out of control.

This is called spiritual warfare: If you aren’t aware, You are in the middle of a battle zone, An excellent resource on learning about spiritual warfare is HERE with Mars Hill Church.  Put on the full armor of God so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes. Ephesians 6:11

Let us catch the faith of David here,
6And David was greatly distressed; for the people spake of stoning him, because the soul of all the people was grieved, every man for his sons and for his daughters: but David encouraged himself in the LORD his God. 1 Samuel 30:6

What is God saying to you in this verse?

When something happens to you that causes pain, temptation, failure, we naturally want to blame someone. When we can’t find anyone we blame ourselves. Who keeps us accountable to that? Unless we allow someone in no one. I believe God desires for you to resolve this matter of your heart. Now in this, Its important to realize we are both the suspect and the victim (Because of our sinful nature).

I want you to try this for one week. Here’s your application.
